Holistic support for the life you want to live.

Support tailored to you

Sunshine Coast Holistic Therapy supports adults navigating a wide range of life experiences — from anxiety, stress and burnout, to grief, trauma and relationship challenges. Together we explore both what’s happening in your inner world and how it shows up in your body, building awareness of emotional patterns, body signals and responses that may have been difficult to understand or put into words.

Through this process, we work to develop practical, sustainable ways of responding to life’s challenges — supporting emotional regulation, strengthening sense of self, and creating greater ease, clarity and resilience in everyday life.

Sunshine Coast based counselling session tailored to you and your needs, integrating person centred, evidence based approaches, nervous system awareness, somatic support and practical tools.

One-to-one online counselling tailored to you (where ever you are in the world) integrating evidence based approaches, nervous system awareness, somatic support and practical tools for everyday stress.

Holistic care for real lives

Sunshine Coast Holistic Therapy weaves together neuroscience, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care to support adults through anxiety, burnout, grief, and life transitions. Sessions move at your pace, gently reconnecting you with your body’s wisdom so change feels sustainable, not overwhelming. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical, offering simple tools you can use between sessions to create more ease, clarity, and connection in everyday life.

In addition to my counselling qualification I hold training through the Trauma Research Foundation founded by Bessel Van der Kolk, author of The Body Keeps the Score, as well as Compassionate Enquiry in Action by Gabor Maté and Polyvagal training from Deb Dana and Stephen Porges. My approach integrates this understanding (as well as that gained from extensive experience in massage and bodywork) of how trauma and stress is storted in the body with somatic and nervous-system based support.

I offer a free initial 15-minute consultation to discuss your current concerns and how counselling may support greater safety, regulation and connection in your life.

Qualifications:

  • Masters of Counselling (ongoing)
  • Diploma of Counselling
  • Diploma of Massage Therapy
  • Certificate of Traumatic Stress Studies
  • Clinical Applications of Polyvagal Theory in Trauma Treatment
  • Gabor Maté Compassionate Enquiry in Action
  • Introception and Alexythemia training
  • Numerous trainings in anxiety, somatic support and a wide range of treatment modalities.

NDIS and Carer Support

NDIS funded counselling sessions may be available for adult participants with funding under Improved Daily Living to work towards their goals.

My approach is tailored to the individual, their plan and their goals. It integrates evidence-based therapeutic approaches with mind–body and nervous system awareness, supporting people to build practical skills, insight and strategies that help them work towards what matters to them and improve everyday wellbeing.
In addition to my counselling qualifications, I also bring many years of lived experience as a parent and carer of two boys with Autism and ADHD, which has given me a deep understanding of the realities many individuals and families navigate.

Some of the areas I support clients with include:

  • Anxiety and stress
  • Burnout and overwhelm
  • Emotional regulation
  • Interoception and understanding body signals
  • Alexithymia and developing emotional awareness
  • Regulation strategies
  • Self-esteem and identity
  • Life transitions and change
  • Grief and loss
  • Trauma
  • Relationship challenges
  • Coping with chronic stress
  • Building practical strategies for everyday wellbeing

I have a special interest in the mind–body connection, and additional training in areas including interoception, alexithymia, trauma, stress, anxiety and burnout.

I also offer a sliding scale of fees for carers who may benefit from counselling support around:

  • Carer burnout
  • Stress and overwhelm
  • Anxiety or depression
  • Navigating the complexities of supporting loved ones.. or any of the issues above.

My goal is to provide a warm, respectful and collaborative space where people can explore what they’re experiencing and develop practical tools to move forward.

If you’d like to learn more or see whether we might be a good fit, feel free to send me a message or reach out to arrange a free initial conversation.

A close-up of a therapist’s resource shelf with no humans: rows of neatly aligned books on trauma-informed care, somatic therapy, and mindfulness, their spines in soft blues, greens, and neutrals, are interspersed with small natural objects like smooth driftwood, a cluster of amethyst, and a tiny woven basket. A trailing pothos plant cascades from an upper shelf, leaves catching soft coastal daylight. The shelf is matte white, against a pale sand-colored wall. Gentle mid-morning light creates subtle shadows and a sense of depth. Photographic realism, eye-level composition with moderate depth of field, conveying professionalism, depth of knowledge, and warm, grounded holistic practice.

A serene Sunshine Coast-inspired landscape viewed from the perspective of a therapy space window, with no people: sunlit eucalyptus trees frame a distant glimpse of calm, shimmering ocean, with gentle waves and a soft blue horizon. In the foreground, the interior window ledge holds a small textured pottery planter with native greenery and a smooth piece of beach driftwood. Late afternoon golden light filters through the glass, creating delicate reflections and a gentle lens flare. Photographic realism, composed using the rule of thirds, with crisp focus on the window ledge and slightly softened background, evoking spaciousness, hope, and the sense of being held by both nature and holistic support.

A minimal intake and booking scene without any human presence: a slim silver laptop sits slightly open on a pale birch desk, beside a stoneware cup of herbal tea and a single sprig of lavender. A printed intake form with clean typography rests on a soft grey clipboard, accompanied by a simple wooden pen. In the background, slightly out of focus, a potted monstera and a woven floor basket add organic texture. Soft overcast daylight from a nearby window creates even, shadowless illumination. Photographic realism, slightly angled top-down view, uncluttered composition, projecting ease, clarity, and a gentle, low-stress approach to starting holistic counselling.
